Good animation, but you repeated far too many scenes and movie clips. It just made it seem like you didn't really do much animation at all, you just did a lot of tweens and a few animated movie clips. I know that there's a lot of work into this, but it's things like that that just take away from the finished product.
On the other hand, great story, great art, good job.

It's amazing how a bad name and having a bad reputation can get you a low score. This is much better than most animations that end up get 3.5+ scores. Good stuff.

If you want good scores, here's a few pointers.
A) Don't say what number flash it is. It sounds like you're trying to make excuses, so people go into watching already expecting something pretty bad.
B) Don't call it a test. If it's really a test or practice, you shouldn't really be submitting it.
There were absolutely no colors and the FBF wasn't pretty. Your only characters consisted of sticks, some of the most lazy characters ever (besides sprites). It's a big jump to go from sticks to full characters (I was a stick addict at one time, too), but it's worth it if you succeed.
Having said that, you did great with the camera pan, and the FBF wasn't too bad. For your second movie, you could have done a lot worse. Just try to clean up your lines (use onion skinning if you're not already), try to add music, try to add sounds, try to add color (not mandatory, but recommended), and you could have some cool stuff. RIght now it's just some black squiggles that somewhat resemble something dancing around in a blank white canvas.
So yeah. Not good, but with some practice you could get good. Just keep using FBF and keep up the good work with the changing camera angles and camera panning.

Looks great. There were some really quality parts. It's a pity it was so short, but it's still worth more than the score it has now (at the moment, a 3.57). 5'd and 10'd.

I thought it'd end up being longer too, I was thinking that people would be lining up by the dozens to be in this.
Turns out that's not the case.

You're a great artist, and I love all the cool effects you used, but you really didn't do that much animating. You animated that squid-like character, I'll give you that, but almost everything else was really just tweened across the screen, and the things being tweened weren't even MCs with FBF in them. It's good, but you're better than this, and it's really just bland and not very impressive animation-wise. Tweens are useful and time-saving, but they're overused here.
On the other hand, to reiterate, nice drawings :)

Ha thanks man.

Graphics could use a lot of work, but the coding was solid.
Nice job, Ryan.

The animation here was sprites, but that's not always a problem; there are some sprite series that I actually used to like, because they were funny. This, however, is both a sprite movie and unfunny. Come on. Farting humor? Random violence (which isn't always bad, but in the stupid way you represented it, it is)? I was about to say "I have no idea how this got the score it did", but it's obvious; everybody on Newgrounds is a fucking child. Unless you're specifically targeting children as your audience, this is a failure.
Now that I got all the insults out of the way, there were a few redeeming qualities to this. You had a nice 1 second of animation where you actually drew Mario, and it was a decent length.
For future animation:
-Improve on your writing. The script for this was shit. I guess the "exploding the castle" idea hasn't been done thousands of times before, but all the jokes that you did have been.
-If at all possible, stop using sprites. Not a very original complaint, but yeah. Sprite movies will get you good scores, but you won't get any better and to anybody over the age of 14, you'll still be shit.
I'm going to have to give it a zero because it didn't really entertain me or even make me smile, which usually isn't very hard. Better luck next time.
Also, in before ten-year-olds say this review is worthless just because they disagree with me.

Pretty fun game, great graphics, everything runs smoothly, but it's a little easy. And that's not always a bad thing, but I beat the last boss without getting hit a single time. All you really need to do is hit with both arms, back up, hit with both arms, back up, etc. etc. I don't really have any suggestions though (I can't think of any good way to make it harder), maybe add some more customization?
Anyway, great game.

My only problem with this is I don't really like the style of your sticks; they're a little fat. I wish they looked more like the sticks in the icon for this (skinny). Movements in this are very flowing though, good job.

But it was a lot of fun! I liked the last few levels the most - I wish you could have done some funny things like that the whole game. Still, fantastic game!
